Frequently asked questions

Will my case go to trial?

Not all cases proceed to trial. Many are resolved through negotiation, mediation, and settlement agreements. If trial becomes necessary, we will prepare you and keep you informed of all developments.

How long will my case take?

Case timelines vary depending on case complexity, court schedule, and negotiation and settlement opportunities. Your attorney will provide an estimated timeline based on your specific matter.

What should I expect at a deposition?

A deposition is a formal sworn testimony outside of court. It involves answering questions from opposing counsel, your attorney being present to object to improper questions, and a court reporter recording the session. We will prepare you in advance so you know what to expect.

What happens when my case is closed?

At the conclusion of your case we retain case files for [7] years per legal requirements, and you can request an electronic copy of any additional documents. If you need legal assistance in the future, we are happy to discuss your options.

What should I do if I receive a legal notice or subpoena related to my case?

If you receive any legal notices, subpoenas, or correspondence regarding your case, forward them to us immediately. Do not respond to any inquiries without consulting us first.
